How it works

Three steps. That's it.

  1. Pick your recipes

Browse 300+ recipes and filter by the way you eat: high protein, low carb, low sugar, dairy free, vegan, diabetic friendly and more.

  2. Add them to your week

Put each recipe into breakfast, a morning snack, lunch, an afternoon snack or dinner, on any day you like.

  3. Shop and cook

Send the ingredients to your grocery list, tick them off in the shop, then follow the recipe step by step at home.

FAQs

Meal planner questions.

What is the Health-e meal planner?

It's the planner inside the Health-e app. You add recipes to five meal slots a day (breakfast, AM snack, lunch, PM snack and dinner), see your week in a daily or weekly view, and send the ingredients to your grocery list.

Every recipe in it is approved by registered dietitian Nicole Keeling and shows its calories, protein, carbs and fat.

Can I plan meals for my diet?

Yes. You set your eating preferences when you sign up and can filter recipes by them, including high protein, low carb, low sugar, dairy free, vegan and diabetic friendly. You can also add your own meals.

Does it work for families?

Yes. The recipes are made for the whole family, and you can change the number of servings on each meal you plan.

Is the meal planner free?

Health-e is free to download. The meal planner is part of one subscription that also includes every recipe, calorie and macro tracking and the grocery list. In South Africa that's R129.99 a month or R1,299.99 a year; in other countries your app store shows the price in your local currency.
