Ingredients
- 400g extra lean mince
- 100g spaghetti or linguine
- 1 tin of tomatoes or braai relish
- Origanum & sweet basil
- A handful of fresh basil leaves
- 10g Parmesan or medium-fat hard cheese
Method
- Cook your beef mince in a pan.
- Add the tin of tomatoes, origanum and sweet basil, and let it simmer until the sauce has reduced.
- Cook your pasta, then strain it.
- Top your pasta with the bolognese.
- Finish with Parmesan, fresh basil and plenty of salt & pepper.
Tip: The nutrition is worked out with spaghetti; linguine works too. For a lighter version, swap the pasta for 250g vegetable or cauliflower noodles: leave your serving of mince in the pan, add the noodles and stir for 2–3 minutes.
